The ANCC announced today that UF Health was recognized for Nursing excellence and awarded Magnet destination.
This is an extreme honor not only for our nursing staff but all the MICU team as we met all the elements that demonstrate nursing excellence and the overall shared governance responsibilities that are very evident in the MICU.
MICU was recognized during the Magnet exit interview as outstanding unit for overall engagement and staff involvement in the quality and operations on the unit. .
It was noted today that UF Health is 1 of only 21 Florida hospitals that have achieved magnet designation.
Even better: UF Health is recognized as 1 of only 41 hospitals nationwide that has achieved Magnet destinations 4 times in a row!!
